Leadenhall Capital Partners plans to launch a number of funds which will enable investors to gain differing levels of exposure to insurance linked investments. Investors will be able to benefit from the attractive returns of the sector, whilst diversifying their risks from the traditional capital markets.

Leadenhall's first two funds (The Leadenhall Diversified Insurance Linked Investment Fund PLC and the Leadenhall Value Insurance Linked Investment Fund PLC) feature investments with a non-investment grade risk profile and predominantly in the non-life insurance sector. We believe such investments could provide a valuable element of diversification for investors with traditional equity, fixed income and real estate portfolios, as they have shown very little correlation in the current challenging market conditions.

The growing volume and variety of opportunities within this asset class requires managers such as ourselves to make a significant investment in specialised skills and modelling tools; both to assess the individual risks and to show they would fit within a given portfolio, thereby ensuring attractive portfolio returns for given risk criteria.
